Meet the Hermosa Beach Team Behind Ironworks Gate Co.

When a gate stops closing on a Friday afternoon in Hermosa Beach, the person who answers the phone is the person who helps solve the problem. That’s how we’ve run Ironworks Gate Co. since 1984. Our Hermosa Beach crew is small on purpose: four technicians and coordinators who know driveway gates, estate gates, motors, and keypads well enough to diagnose most problems over the phone before a truck ever rolls. They’re background-checked, uniformed, and they’ve worked on more LiftMaster, FAAC, and Viking openers in Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach than most people see in a lifetime.

Our People

Danny R. – Lead Technician

Danny has been fixing gates in the South Bay for 19 years, the last 11 of them with Ironworks Gate Co. He’s our lead tech on complex automation jobs, which means he’s the one untangling a DoorKing board that another company gave up on or rewiring a Ghost Controls system after a salt-air winter made a mess of the connections. Danny is certified on all nine brands we service and keeps a running mental log of which Hermosa Beach alley gates bind in July when the heat expands the steel. He surfs before work when the swell is right and still answers his phone for an emergency call at 2 a.m.

Maria T. – Service Coordinator

Maria is the voice on the other end of (279) 263-9485 for most of the day, and she’s been with us for eight years. She schedules every repair and installation, confirms that a technician is actually on the way, and follows up after each visit to make sure the gate still works the next morning. Maria knows the difference between a gate that won’t open and a remote that just needs a fresh battery, and she’ll walk a homeowner through that check before we ever charge a dispatch fee. She’s the reason our 24-hour live-answer promise actually works, because Maria believes a person should never get a voicemail when their gate is stuck open at 10 p.m.

Carlos M. – Senior Installer

Carlos leads our installation crews for new driveway gates and full automation packages from Redondo Beach up through El Segundo. He started as an apprentice with Ironworks Gate Co. 14 years ago and now runs every measure, concrete pour, and final swing test on his jobs. Carlos is the guy Victor trusts to hang a 400-pound steel estate gate so it closes like the day it was hung, even on the sloping lots you find in the Hollywood Riviera area. He welds, he runs conduit, and he keeps a level in his truck that he’s owned since his first year on the job. Off the clock, he’s coaching his daughter’s soccer team.

Jordan P. – Apprentice Technician

Jordan is two years into his apprenticeship and already carries more brand certifications than plenty of techs with twice his time. He rides with Danny on most repair calls, handles hinge lubrication and safety-edge testing, and has become our go-to for the $89 Seasonal Tune-Up on busy weeks. Jordan grew up in Torrance and knows the neighborhood streets well enough to find a house by its gate description alone. He’s methodical, asks good questions, and treats every customer’s driveway like his own mother’s, which is exactly what we look for before anyone wears the Ironworks uniform.

One Standard, Every Job

The four people above operate by one rule: Krafted right, Every time, Your home first, Standing behind it. That’s the K.E.Y.S. code we’ve used for over 42 years, and it applies whether Danny is replacing a broken hinge in Hermosa Beach or Carlos is setting a new gate post in Manhattan Beach. Every job gets a written 90-Day Done Right Promise, meaning if anything isn’t right, we come back and make it right. No paperwork, no arguing, no exceptions. Victor Salinas started this company in 1984 with a simple idea: a gate company that answers the phone, does the work correctly, and stands behind it for decades. The Hermosa Beach team carries that every single day.
